January 2020 Newsletter

Dear MYHarvesters,

I hope you all had a good growing year in 2019 and still have a plentiful supply of apples, potatoes, cabbages, Brussels sprouts and all kinds of root veg! I am pleased to confirm that the project will keep running in 2020, so please continue submitting your harvest data.

Although sowing time is not quite here yet, it is never too early to start thinking about what you will be growing in the next season. Are you thinking of trying something new or sticking to those tried and trusted favourites? Either way, I’m sure we are all looking forward to the arrival of spring.

If you have done all your garden planning, or just need a break from it, here is a little something to help pass the time and get you through the cold winter days:

‘Feeding the city–Leicester as a case study of the importance of allotments for horticultural production in the UK’

Thank you all for taking part, and best wishes for the new year!
